Small business advice in the East Riding of Yorkshire

As this is my first blog post I want to keep it as short as possible. Because I hope to focus on small businesses in the area, I was surprised to learn that East Riding council offers free marketing advice to new business start-ups. I worked at the council for over a year, and I never knew that. The council has lots of very knowledgeable, nice people working for them, they really should advertise this service better.

(Unless it’s an elaborate sting operation that’s been set-up just for me, because last month I put some recyclable plastic in the green bin, rather than the blue one. It’s not my fault, it’s such an easy mistake to make, the bin is GREEN, so that should be the recycling one, right? I mean, right? Because it’s green? But it’s not. The blue one is the green one. The green one is the landfill one).
