What does it mean to be a part of the Order Selection team? 

In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Schedule:

• 5-day work schedule: 9:00 AM start time 
• Average shift 10-12 hours 
• Overtime included 

Pay:

• Starting wage is $22.75/hour, with a pay increase of $1.50 upon hitting productivity 
• Case bonus incentive
• $2.00/hr extra for weekend shift
• $2.00/ for freezer environment (if applicable)
• Set pay increases: $1.00/hour increase after 1 year. $1.50 increase after 2 years 

Position Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Warehouse experience is preferred but not required
• Lifting boxes weighing from less than 20 to 65lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Occasionally pushing, reaching, pulling, and gripping
• Must have the ability to work in various temperatures

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Identify the pick locations and safely pick the items
• Inspect assigned equipment for safety issues
• Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC’s or item descriptions
• Places labels on the side of the cases
• Shrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required information.
• Stages pallets in appropriate bay and builds a stable pallet
• Operates pallet jack/pushcart in a safe and efficient manner
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Physical Environment/ Demands:

• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
• Ability to do repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements required.
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation:

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
